Living Well Is About Being Well

in News

You may have heard about the most recent trends like “organic,” “gluten free” and “plant based whole foods.” The answer is yes. Just yes? Yes!

Say yes to cleaner eating (pesticide free). Say yes to gluten free (food glue). Say yes to eating your plant based whole foods (garden fresh).

Lynn Ray is a Certified Health Coach from the Jackson area. She has been coaching clients on ways to live better, eat better and feel better since 2014. After receiving her certification from Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) based in New York, Ray developed a one-on-one service, consulting new clients on food and wellness goals in a structured 6-month program as well as three, five, and seven day detoxes.

Her wellness journey doesn’t stop there. Recently, she completed a secondary certification through IIN on Hormone Health. Hormones are a huge issue for men and women alike.

“Did you know your hormones are affected by what you eat and your environment?” asked Ray.

Various things affect our health, hormones, and well-being, including but not limited to: the pesticides on our food, our cleaning products, and the plastic we use. It’s difficult to keep up to date on all these matters, but Ray provides daily education on her Facebook page: facebook.com/lynnraychc.

Living well is not always about what you eat or what you do—have you considered what you drink?

In 2012, she discovered the benefits of pure alkaline ionized water and became a representative with Enagic International, a water ionizing machine company based out of Japan. By drinking this pure and healthy water, you can get back to nature and replenish missing nutrients while alkalizing your body for a healthier version of you, inside and out. Ray loves sharing that, "Kangen Water is the part missing from your healthy regimen.”

“This was the missing link for total wellness. Many people are sick because they are dehydrated, not hungry—or their body is too acidic from the Standard American Diet,” Lynn added.

Over the years, she developed an additional passion: juicing; a shortcut to reducing or even reversing certain health issues. Her most popular health-based juices include: “Kale Yeah,” “Afternoon Energy,” “Can’t Beet It” and “Blood Pressure X.” You can jump on your juicing kick with Ray at Cross Roads Café in Ridgeland. Try a sample that is fresh, raw, juicy and organic on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8am – 11am, as well asin-home juicing demos.

If you want to live well and be well, Ray has many years of education, experience, and the know-how to get you to your wellness goals. Drawing on her coaching skills, she takes a holistic approach to help her clients create a completely personalized “road map to health” that suits each unique body, lifestyle, preference, and goals.
